The File Submission System
	Configuration Variables

This is a guide to the configuration variables which control the installation and behavior of the submit system. Variables which are needed to install the system are defined in the Makefile, others are defined in submit.conf. Submit.conf is itself installed, generally in /etc or /usr/local/etc, and can be changed at any time. Makefile variables are fixed at installation, but you can always change them and reinstall. Values which the setup.pl script sets are marked.
